GERALD M. CHASE

Partner
Jerry grew up in Portland, working on the garbage truck for his father’s waste disposal company. He attended Jefferson and Beaverton high school’s before getting his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University. He earned his law degree at the University of Oregon, and later partnered with his Beaverton High and law school classmate, Richard Weil, to form the law offices of Chase & Weil in 1985. After Richard retired in 2015, Jerry partnered with his son, Gabe, to form Chase Law, PC. For over 40 years Jerry has provided clients with the benefit of his experience in numerous trials, arbitrations, and negotiations. He is passionate about helping people and working to represent his clients’ interests. When Jerry is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, playing tennis, and umpiring baseball games.

GABRIEL CHASE

Partner
Gabriel (Gabe) earned his bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and spent two years in Japan teaching English before attending law school at the University of Oregon. While in law school, Gabe represented Oregon Law as part of the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition team and served as a tutor in the Legal Research and Writing Department. Gabe is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and was selected to participate in the OTLA’s Leadership Academy. Gabe has enjoyed learning from Jerry, and his former law partner Richard, and has worked to ensure that Chase Law will continue to provide clients with the high level of representation that they have come to expect.

In 2014 Jerry’s son, Gabriel, a recent Oregon Law graduate, joined the practice, allowing Richard the opportunity to retire. In 2017 Jerry and Gabriel began operating as Chase Law, PC, specializing in personal injury work and advocating on behalf of their clients to achieve resolution and healing after injury. 

About Our Firm

Jerry’s extensive career practicing personal injury law has been fueled by his drive to help people. He understands that the physical pain that accompanies injury is compounded by the anxiety that comes with lost wages, property damage, and compromised quality of life that people often experience after accidents. 

Jerry has passed this commitment to helping others on to his son, and as partners in law, both father and son are motivated to practice law in a way that achieves just and equitable resolutions that repair the damage suffered through injury.
